Hubbard Atmospheric Research Fellowship

The Hubbard Atmospheric Sciences Fellowship provides graduate tuition and competitive stipend for the first two full years of student support toward a Ph.D. or M.S. degree under the supervision of a faculty member from the Climate Change Research Center (CCRC)in the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans and Space (EOS). CCRC research is focused on the fields of atmospheric chemistry and climate change.

Students interested in performing Ph.D. dissertation research under direct supervision of a faculty member from the CCRC should submit a formal application to the Natural Resources and Earth System Science Ph.D. Program (application deadline is 15 January) or the Department of Chemistry Ph.D. Program (application deadline is 15 February). Students interested in doing M.S. thesis research should submit a formal application to the Department of Earth Sciences (application deadline is 15 January) or the Department of Chemistry (application deadline is 15 February).

As part of the application process, students should prepare a one page letter expressing their interest in the Hubbard Fellowship and:

1. A statement of how their background has prepared them for research in atmospheric sciences; and



2. A brief description of what aspect of CCRC research is of most interest to them The letter should be sent to both program coordinators listed below before 15 February. Applicants will be notified of final decisions in early March. Questions may be addressed to either of the program coordinators using the contact information below.
